Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort is a small year-round resort in northern New Mexico in Carson National Forest, about twenty miles south-southeast of Taos. Owned and operated by Mountain Capital Partners of Durango, Colorado, it is part of the company’s Power Pass program linking eleven ski areas across the Four Corners region. Sipapu is known for New Mexico’s longest ski season, usually running from November to April. Its summit reaches 9,255 feet, with forty-one trails served by six lifts and four terrain parks. Beyond skiing, it offers summer activities including golf and fishing, along with lodging and restaurants, while future development has emphasized community feedback and collaboration.
