Ramser Arboretum in Jelloway near Danville, Ohio, is a privately owned but generally year-round public arboretum that closes during deer-hunting season. Founded by businessman and farmer Russell Ramser, it covers 680 acres of native woodland, planted hardwoods, and agricultural land. Its notably hilly terrain includes about five miles of hiking trails across the property. The site also contains the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Woods, giving it an added educational and natural role within a landscape defined by trees, trails, and open countryside.
