Nature
Creedman Coulee National Wildlife Refuge is a remote, unstaffed wildlife refuge in northern Montana within the Bowdoin Wetland Management District and managed from Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. Covering 2,728 acres, it is notable for being protected largely through cooperative agreements rather than federal ownership. Just 80 acres belong directly to the federal government, while the remaining 2,648 acres are preserved through easements with local landowners on private property.
