Western Star Lodge No. 2 was the oldest chartered Masonic lodge in California Free and Accepted Masons. It was originally chartered by the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Missouri, A F and A M, on May 10, 1848. On May 10, 1998, it was dedicated in due and ancient form by the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of California F and AM during the sesquicentennial marking 150 years of Masonry in California.
