The Pennsylvania Division's First Brigade, commanded by Brigadier General Anthony Wayne and Colonel Thomas Hartley, included the 1st Regiment Infantry under Colonel James Chambers, raised July 1, 1776, and mustered out November 3, 1783; the 2d Regiment Infantry under Colonel Henry Bicker, raised October 25, 1776, and mustered out November 3, 1783; the 7th Regiment Infantry under Lieutenant Colonel David Grier, raised January 1, 1777, and mustered out January 17, 1781; the 10th Regiment Infantry under Lieutenant Colonel Adam Hubley, raised October 25, 1776, and mustered out January 1, 1781; and Hartley’s Additional Regiment of Infantry under Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Connor, raised January 11, 1777, and consolidated with the 11th Regiment Infantry January 13, 1779.
