Along Walnut Branch Creek stands a Greek Revival style home built in 1901. Wooley Architects of San Antonio designed it, and businessman J.T. Holmes built it. The original house had a two-story L-shaped porch. Its features include a summer kitchen that was originally separated from the house, leaded glass windows, wood panel pocket doors, ten-foot ceilings, and most of the original windows, doors, and floors. The home is surrounded by centuries-old live oak trees. Over the years, it was owned by several families, including William Chambers, the creator of Fritos Bean Dip.
