History
1
From the 1700's to today, this landscape changed from an open savanna crossed by a small group of Native Americans traveling to fish in nearby lakes, to the two hundred acre Williamson sheep farm with a large farmhouse, barns, and other out-buildings in the 1800's, to apple trees planted where sheep once grazed in the early 1900's, to 1930's road construction crews building a super highway called Telegraph Rd., and in 1974 to Nature Center Manager Don Hollums directing girl scouts where to plant evergreens to screen the recently widened Telegraph Rd.
