The 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team included 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry; 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry; 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry; 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery; 710th Brigade Support Battalion; and 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion. It honors its honored dead from Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II, Operation Enduring Freedom VI and VII, Operation Enduring Freedom IX and X, Operation Enduring Freedom XI and XII, and Operation Enduring Freedom XIII and XIV, from 2003 to 2014, and also recognizes Medal of Honor recipient SFC Jared Monti.
