Whittemore Glen State Park is a largely undeveloped public recreation and wilderness area in New Haven County, Connecticut, covering 242 acres mostly in Naugatuck near Waterbury’s southwestern edge. It serves as the eastern end of the Larkin State Park Trail and is used for hiking and horseback riding, with its natural, undeveloped landscape shaping its character. Whittemore Glen was recognized as Connecticut’s forty-eighth state park in the 1945–46 edition of the Connecticut Register and Manual and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
