The Sturgeon Bay Bridge, designed in 1930 by the Wisconsin Highway Commission and built by Wausau Iron Works of Wausau, Wisconsin, opened on July 4, 1931, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior and the Citizens For Our Bridge organization.
