The Wagener Memorial Monument honors and remembers heroes of Wagener past and present, including members of the United States Army, United States Marine Corps, United States Navy, United States Air Force, United States Coast Guard, and POW/MIA. It also bears the Blue Star Memorial tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America. On the reverse, it includes seals for the Wagener Chief Police Department, District 16 Fire and Rescue, Medical, and Wagener, South Carolina, Police, along with a prayer by Daniel David Jeffcoat asking God for strength, guidance, success in duty, safe return when faltering, recognition of divine help in daily progress, and protection for Mother and Dad.
