Greensboro
History
Founded in 1732 as Bridge-Town, Greensboro was then in Queen Anne's and Dorchester Counties and was named Greensboro in 1791. Sessions of Caroline County Court were held here in November and December 1778, June 1779, and March 1780. Choptank Bridge, the first bridge across the river, was built near here before 1732.
