On this site on June 14, 1814, a log cabin church building was built to house the congregations of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and Zion Reformed Church, now Zion United Church of Christ. The congregation gives thanks to God almighty for His grace through these many years, prays for guidance for the future through the presence of his holy spirit, and dedicates itself anew to the work of Jesus Christ in redeeming the world.
