Walker Canyon lies in the Temescal Mountains of Riverside County, California, near Lake Elsinore. It carries Temescal Creek north from Warm Springs Valley into the upper Temescal Valley near Alberhill, with Gavilan Wash joining near the canyon’s middle and Alberhill Canyon meeting it at the mouth. Beyond its drainage role, the canyon serves as a natural passage between Warm Springs Valley and Temescal Valley. That route remains important today, as Interstate 15 passes through Walker Canyon along the east side of Temescal Creek.
