In the old Arnold Cemetery on the hill are the graves of Alexander Scott Withers, born 10-12-1792 and died 1-23-1865, and his wife, Melinda F., born 6-1-1793 and died 9-15-1854. Alexander Scott Withers was the author of “Chronicles of Border Warfare.”
