Those buried here were part of the labor, energy, spirit, and love that once lived in Clarendon and are remembered through notable burials including Chauncey Robinson (1792-1866), a veteran of the War of 1812; William Lewis (1787-1826), an abolitionist and the first sheriff of Orleans County; John Dodge (1749-1830), a veteran of the American Revolution; Samuel Milliken (1752-1842), a veteran of the American Revolution; Thomas McManners, an escaped slave and veteran of the American Revolution; and Shubael Lewis (1785-1861), a colonel in the New York State Militia.
