James C. Bagley built this house for his bride, Eunice Williams, in 1856 at Bagley Bend near Pinson in northeast Jefferson County. Bagley joined the Confederate army in 1861 and died that same year in a Shattanooga, Tennessee hospital. He is buried in the Chattanooga National Military Ccemetery. Mr. and Mrs. George Lindsey donated the house in 1974. Restoration was completed in 1976.
