Keekwulee Falls is a waterfall on Denny Creek in Washington, about two miles west of Snoqualmie Pass in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, reached by the Denny Creek trail and viewed from a nearby overlook. The falls descend in two stages, dropping about 90 feet and then 35 feet, for a total of roughly 125 feet. Hikers from The Mountaineers gave the falls its name in 1916. The name comes from the Chinook Jargon word keekwulee, also spelled in other forms, a term understood to mean “low,” “below,” or “down” and associated with lowering or descending.
