In 1964, the Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company expressed gratitude to the brave men and women of the township who, since its foundation, had given themselves and their services to their country in peace and in war. They dedicated themselves to God in efforts on many fronts to stop aggression and protect liberty. Many made the supreme sacrifice and died bravely to help ensure world peace, the privilege of worshipping God as free men, and the preservation of the American belief that all men are created equal.
