Jack Williams, Pharmacist's Mate 3rd Class, USNR, was born on October 18, 1924, and died on March 3, 1945. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty at Iwo Jima in the Volcano Islands. The tribute also honors all others who valiantly served their country.
