Built in 1893 by William M. Duncan in true Queen Anne architecture, this house was created by the son of a Pennsylvania congressman, who also built the Basin Park Hotel in Eureka Springs. Its prominent owners included Reverend D. Shuck, Sheriff J.P. Callicott, who was involved in the Henry Starr shoot-out on the square, the Castleberry sisters, who were teachers, and Sheridan and Cynthia Garrison, shipping tycoons. In October 2005 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as The Duncan House.
