Walnut Veterans Memorial Park honors and remembers those who served, gives thanks to people at home and abroad who helped preserve freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear, and lists local service members across the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon-Grenada, Panama, the Persian Gulf War, Afghanistan-Iraq, and others who served, including those who died in service.
