Coopey Falls is a 150-foot horsetail waterfall on Coopey Creek in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge, near the Columbia River and about a mile east of Bridal Veil Falls. It was named for Charles Coopey, an English tailor who owned land beside it and hoped to use water from nearby Wahkeena Falls to operate a woolen mill for spinning, weaving, and wool scouring before Simon Benson purchased Wahkeena Falls. The falls stands on private property behind a convent owned by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, who permit visitors to follow a path from the parking lot after requesting permission, and it can also be seen from the Angels Rest trailhead west of the convent.
