The Peace Pole was originally established in 2003 by the Sister Cities Commission of Roselle. A similar pole was placed in Bochnia, Poland in 2004, finalizing the partnership between the two cities. Rededicated in 2024, the pole has seven sides to represent each of the continents on Earth and bears “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in 14 different languages as a reminder of the importance of world peace and cultural understanding.
