Macon Presbyterian Church was established in 1837 and was enrolled into Tombecbee Presbytery in 1842. The original church stood at the southeast corner of block 7. The present site was deeded to the church in 1889 by R.C. Patty, the building was erected in 1890, it burned in 1941, and it was rebuilt in 1947.
