Molino Canyon is a steep, boulder-strewn canyon in the Santa Catalina Mountains northeast of Tucson, Arizona, near Molino Basin Campground in Coronado National Forest. It marks a dramatic landscape transition, from lush pine forest in the upper canyon to Sonoran Desert cactus forest below. Seasonal Molino Creek runs southwest across granite outcroppings at the canyon floor, forming small waterfalls and pools when flowing. Its water is strongest in spring snowmelt and during the summer monsoon, and its banks support willow, cottonwood, and Arizona sycamore. Catalina Highway follows the lower western side, with Molino Canyon Vista providing access to the creek where desert cactus forest meets oak-studded grassland.
