George Snodgrass gave his life while serving the country in Vietnam in March 1966. The dedication was made by the Mayor and Council of Pompton Lakes, including Mayor John D. Sterling and council members L.B. Edzenga, D. Krom, R. Monico, W. Schneider, K.E. Steil, and R.H. Thomas.
