Saddle Mountain

Saddle Mountain is a 3,074-foot landform in Mineral County, West Virginia, within the Ridge and Valley province of the Appalachian Mountains. It is not a separate peak but a section of New Creek Mountain, named for its saddle-like shape. The mountain is especially visible from Skyline to the west, along US 50 at its junction with West Virginia Route 42 on the Allegheny Front. It remains a recognized feature of eastern West Virginia’s Appalachian landscape.
