At this site on February 15, 1861, President-Elect Abraham Lincoln's inaugural train stopped at the Cleveland and Pittsburgh Railroad station to pick up Horace Y. Beebe of Ravenna. Beebe's convention vote had ensured Lincoln's Republican nomination in 1860.
