Gilkey Bridge is a covered road bridge in Linn County, Oregon, carrying Goar Road across Thomas Creek near the former community of Gilkey. The community took its name from Gilkey station on the Southern Pacific line, established in 1880 and named for Allen and William Gilkey; Allen had settled nearby after coming to Oregon in the early 1850s. Built in 1939, the 120-foot bridge later endured repeated damage and repairs, including a 1997 overload and a 2007 collision with a truck boom that reduced its load capacity. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, it was preserved through a $1.6 million rehabilitation completed in 2017.
