After the Civil War and additional unforseen circumstances left the grounds at Barnsley Gardens irreparable, people relocated from Barnsley Gardens to Kingston and were buried here. Nearby are the graves of Ned Phinizy and his family, Emmie Pritchett and her family, the Watters family, and the Young family. The contributions of these families to the City of Kingston live on today.
