The Coburg Hills are foothills on the western edge of Oregon’s Cascade Range, east of Coburg and northeast of Eugene, forming a higher band of country between the Mohawk and Willamette valleys. Rising to about 2,253 feet at Coburg Ridge, they include named high points such as Spores Point, Buck Mountain, Mount Tom, Round Mountain, and Bald Mountain, creating a varied skyline. A notable feature at the north end, Hayworth Saddle, received its official name in 2008 after a public naming effort tied to a local farming family established nearby since 1875. The hills are also linked to conservation and protected native wildlife habitat.
