Boneyard Beach is a mile-long shore in Big Talbot Island State Park near Fernandina Beach in northeastern Florida, south of Amelia Island along the First Coast Highway. It is named for the stark line of bleached oak trunks and branches scattered along the beach beneath a 20-foot bluff. Reached from The Bluffs Scenic Shoreline Picnic Area by a half-mile Shoreline Trail to the north end, it is partly closed near the picnic area during shorebird breeding season. Although not recommended for swimming, it is a popular photography destination for its unusual tree remains, exposed coastal scenery, and the added natural-history interest of fossilized mammoth bones found there.
