Finger Peaks is an 11,498-foot granitic summit in Yosemite National Park’s northern Sierra Nevada, formed by three closely grouped peaks just west of Burro Pass near the Matterhorn region. Its rugged character is defined by steep local relief, rising about 1,700 feet above Piute Creek in only half a mile. Runoff from the mountain drains north to Piute Creek and south to Matterhorn Creek within the Tuolumne River system. The alpine climate is shaped by Pacific weather systems that bring rain and snow. The name was in published use by 1925, officially adopted in 1932, and the first recorded ascent was made on July 19, 1931, by Jules Eichorn, Glen Dawson, and Walter Brem.
