Sequoyah State Park occupies a 2,200-acre peninsula on the eastern shore of Fort Gibson Lake in eastern Oklahoma and ranks among the state’s major outdoor destinations. Its lakeside setting supports camping and marina access, while inland areas offer 12 miles of public hiking trails. The park also features the Three Forks Nature Center, with rehabilitated mammals and birds, live snakes, and habitat exhibits, along with riding stables and a long-running golf course designed by Floyd Farley. Sequoyah Lodge, the largest lodge in Oklahoma’s state park system, adds rooms, cottages, dining, and outdoor recreation. In 2020, the park adopted an entrance fee tied to statewide maintenance and improvement efforts.
