Sand Hollow State Park, near Hurricane in Washington County, Utah, centers on the 1,322-acre Sand Hollow Reservoir and includes a large off-highway vehicle recreation area on Sand Mountain. Officially dedicated in April 2003, it quickly became a popular destination for camping, fishing, boating, and ATV riding. By combining water-based recreation at the reservoir with access to nearby sand dunes, it developed into one of southwestern Utah’s best-known outdoor areas.
