Rocky Peak, a 2,715-foot mountain in the Santa Susana Mountains on the Los Angeles–Ventura county line, is a prominent Southern California landmark known for its craggy boulders, broad views, and the point where the county line shifts course. For about 8,000 years, this area lay within the homeland and trading crossroads of the Tataviam, Tongva, and Chumash peoples, with nearby sites preserving that history. The peak also became part of Southern California’s film landscape, its rugged scenery serving classic Hollywood productions. The surrounding parkland includes former ranch property, connects regional open spaces, and serves as an important wildlife corridor and recreation area.
