Cochrans Falls is a cascading waterfall in north Georgia, in Dawson County northwest of Dawsonville near Amicalola Falls. With a total vertical drop of about 600 feet, it is tied with Caledonia Cascade as the second tallest waterfall in the state. Its largest drop is near the top, where a treacherous trail climbs along the right side of the falls to reach the upper section. The waterfall’s great height and rugged access have made it one of Georgia’s more dramatic and demanding natural sites.
