Deborah Sampson served two years as a soldier in the War of the Revolution for love of country. She was born in Plympton, Massachusetts, on December 17, 1760. This memorial was erected in 1906 by the Deborah Sampson Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, of Brockton and the Town of Plympton.
