The USGA Museum in Far Hills, New Jersey, beside the United States Golf Association headquarters, preserves one of the nation’s leading collections of golf artifacts, documents, and memorabilia focused on the game’s development in the United States and the history of USGA championships. Begun from a collecting effort proposed in 1935, it gained early treasures such as Bobby Jones’s putter Calamity Jane II and eventually moved from displays in New York offices to permanent museum spaces in Manhattan and then New Jersey. Expanded and reopened in 2008 with the Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History, it features championship trophies, galleries on American golf, research facilities, and the Pynes Putting Course.
