Gothic Mountain
Nature
Gothic Mountain is a prominent 12,631-foot peak in Colorado’s Elk Mountains, within the Rocky Mountains and Gunnison National Forest. Located just 1.1 miles west by south of the ghost town of Gothic, it is known for the pinnacles that inspired its name because they were said to resemble Gothic architecture. Its striking profile and close connection to the nearby abandoned mining settlement have made it a distinctive landmark in this part of central Colorado.
