Robert Taylor was born Spangler Arlington Brugh in Filley on August 5, 1911, and was raised in Beatrice. He appeared in 80 films from the 1930s to the 1960s and hosted the television series “Death Valley Days” in the 1960s. Taylor died on June 8, 1969.
