Pacific Peak is a prominent 13,957-foot mountain in central Colorado’s Mosquito Range, southwest of Breckenridge in the Arapaho National Forest. Though slightly below the elevation of Colorado’s fourteeners, it stands out in the same alpine terrain. Its long east ridge is especially recognizable across the valley from Quandary Peak, and the mountain is often climbed together with nearby Atlantic Peak as a paired objective. On its eastern flank lies Pacific Tarn, regarded as the highest officially named lake in the United States. The summit, ridge, and tarn together make Pacific Peak a distinctive feature of the central Rockies.
