Built in 1868, this edifice served in turn as a saloon, billiard parlor, clothing store, and bakery before becoming a museum. Since April Fools' Day 1978, it has housed a unique collection celebrating the magician's arts of wonder and delight. Michigan's connection to magic extends to nearby Colon, a center of magic manufacturing and once the home of famed magician Harry Blackstone, Sr. (1885-1965), whose memorabilia is displayed here.
