Dedicated on September 19, 1994, in honor of Millard Sheets, the gallery recognizes his 25 years of service to the Los Angeles County Fair as director of Fine Arts from 1931 to 1956. An internationally known painter, educator, and art director, he devoted lifelong effort and enthusiasm to fulfilling his pledge to bring knowledge of art to the public.
