Bath Covered Bridge in Bath, New Hampshire, is one of the state's oldest surviving covered bridges, built in 1832 at a crossing used since at least 1794. More than 390 feet long, it has four spans supported by Burr trusses on stone piers and abutments, though it was originally built with three spans and later strengthened when raised in the 1920s. It is the fifth bridge at this site after earlier bridges were lost to washouts, floods, and fire between 1806 and 1830. Serving a largely rural residential area with light traffic, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and rehabilitated after closing in 2012, reopening in 2014.
