Long Point Wildlife Refuge is a protected coastal reserve in West Tisbury, Massachusetts, owned by The Trustees of Reservations. Since the organization’s first purchase there in 1979, the refuge has expanded and is managed both to protect nature and to provide public access. In July and August, visitors can rent canoes and kayaks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the refuge closed in March 2020 and reopened in June 2020 with advance online ticketing, a requirement that continued through the summer of 2021.
