Banks Covered Bridge, built in 1889 in Wilmington Township, Pennsylvania, carries a 121-foot wooden Burr arch truss over Neshannock Creek southeast of New Wilmington. Resting on stone foundations and supported by steel girders, it is one of only two surviving covered bridges in Lawrence County, where such bridges were always uncommon. The bridge remains significant both as a rare survivor from the county’s older road network and as a representative example of a truss design widely used in Pennsylvania. Its interior walls also reflect a distinctive regional character associated with many covered bridges in Bucks County. In 1980 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
