A true north-south meridian line was established on September 12, 1895, and stones were set by County Surveyor Chas. Miles. In 1921, courtyard fill buried the stones until they were relocated by County Surveyor Bill McGrew on July 12, 1981. New markers were donated and set by Our Heritage Inc. in 1984.
