Lake Tahoe–Nevada State Park

Lake Tahoe–Nevada State Park spans the northeast and east shore of Lake Tahoe in Nevada as a group of separate recreation areas rather than one continuous tract. Its units include popular lakeshore destinations such as Sand Harbor, Cave Rock, Hidden Beach, and Memorial Point, as well as Spooner Lake and the vast Marlette/Hobart backcountry in the Carson Range. The park combines beaches, boat launches, trails, fishing, wildlife viewing, and overnight camping with important historic features, especially the Marlette Lake Water System. That surviving waterworks, along with remains of the region’s early mining and logging landscape, gives the park significance beyond recreation and scenery.
